Polygala alba Nuttall
(White Milkwort)

Family: Polygalaceae

Status: Native

Synonyms:
Senega alba(Nutt.) J.F.B.Pastore & J.R.Abbott

Polygala alba is a perennial plant at middle elevations in the Gila. It looks like a white version of Monnina wrightii which is purple. The capsule in Monnina is one celled and 2 celled in Polygala. The keel in Polygala is conspicuously crested. Many thanks to Radha Veach for permission to use her pix!
