Synonyms:
Pectis prostrata Cavanilles var. cylindrica Fernald

Pectis cylindrica looks similar to Pectis prostrata. The easiest difference between the two is the number of ray flowers per head-- usually 3 in P. cylindrica and usually 5 in P. prostrata. P. cylindrica is found at lower elevation.
