Linum aristatum Engelmann var. australe (Heller) Kearney & Peebles

Linum australe is a glabrous annual and has petals that are yellow with no tinge of red. The leaf blades are linear. The sepals are finely glandular toothed. The styles are connate nearly to the apex. Linum australe is found at lower elevation in the Gila.
