Heuchera glomerulata Rosendahl, Butters & Lakela
(Arizona Alumroot)
Family: Saxifragaceae
Status: Native
Synonyms:
None
Heuchera glomerulata differs from the similar Heuchera nova-mexicana in having
no yellow nectar disc. Heuchera glomerulata also usually has variegated basal leaves rather than the commonly all green leaves of Heuchera nova-mexicana. On close inspection, the
anthers of Heuchera glomerulata are purple and they contrast with the bright orange pollen
that is produced. This species in our area is known from the Mogollon Mountains.
