Euphorbia fendleri Torrey & Gray
(Fendler's Sandmat)
Family: Euphorbiaceae
Status: Native
Synonyms:
Chamaesyce fendleri (Torrey & Gray) Small
Euphorbia fendleri is one of the few perennials of this genus in the Gila. It looks rather superficially like Euphorbia albomarginata. However, Euphorbia fendleri has adjacent stipules that
are distinctly bristle-like. The foliage is glabrous and the leaves are nearly round. Euphorbia fendleri can be found in desert scrub and arroyos.
